It has been said that any road will do if you do not know where you are going. That is particularly true in the thesis or dissertation. A lack of clear focus is one of the most common problems I encounter, followed by a focus that is too broad.
Some of the most important factors in determining the topic for your dissertation or thesis are found in the answers to these questions:
- Are you passionate about this topic?
- Are there sufficient bibliographic resources to form your proposal? (Bibliographic projects)
- Do you have adequate resources to do field research? (A specific population to study for empirical papers)
In order to properly assess the situation, please email to me in Word:
- Your formal proposal and all notes that came back with it. If you have not subitetd a formal proposal, tell me specifically what it is you intend to research, what your working hypothesis is, and what you intend as the outcome.
- A clear statement of what it is you intend to show.
- Your background qualifications.
- Your working hypothesis.
- Your working bibliography or reference list.
- Formatting and style requirements from your school
- Any time constraints you are under.
I will go through everything and get back to you within one week whenever possible. I will probably have more questions.
Once I have assessed everything, I will send you the assessment with specific recommendations for moving forward.
There is no charge for the assessment.
